Numbers with a couple of letters.

Was it a code? Was it important?

It looked to be fairly fresh scratchings on the wood...

Stu grabbed the plank and headed home to ponder this new finding.

Drift Wood

A small piece of driftwood floated gently on the water's edge.

Closer examination revealed some crude lettering....

Nest

A nicely padded nest high on a branch.

What a pleasant place to be born... Luckily my mom decided on a hospital.
