Lady Bugs
The fresh morning dew hung on the edge... she stepped ever so carefully forward.
Dew was more precious than gold.

Stu Contemplates a New Adventure
Stu stepped out onto his cliff-side balcony and smelled the crisp ocean air.
He had a feeling inside that seemed to say "Time for Another Adventure!"... but then again, it could be heartburn... they are quite similar.

Clip-ons
Clip-on glasses have certainly changed the snake world!
Image being sight-impaired and NOT having any ears either!

Narrow Escape
Last night I was hand feeding wax worms to my leopard gecko.
As I held out an especially plump wax worm, the gecko inadvertently grabbed hold of my finger... and the wax worm escaped out the side!

Curious Fish
We had fish for dinner last night and I happened to glance over at our nearby fish tank.
This is what I saw...

Squirrel on the Run
The cautious squirrel crept slowly toward the bagel.
It would be only seconds before the owner came back with a fresh cup of coffee.

Carry your Cross
My wife and 2 daughters are headed for Jamaica as an outreach from our church.
I was there last summer and realized how much we [USA] take for granted when we seem to have 'everything'.
Everyone has their own cross to bear... daily.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
Matthew 16:24

Aliens
When the aliens read the news headlines... they decided to hold off on any abductions for a while.
It was fairly apparent that worse things were currently happening on earth.

Peep on Gravity
Peep was casually taking a stroll under an apple tree... and found out just what Newton did.

What a boar
You know... some people are just like this.
You sit and listen and listen and wonder if they are going to ever say anything worth repeating.

Snooze
The alarm went off today and I hit the snooze... 5 or 6 times.
It was great... Especially since I took the day off work.
I had NO guilt, NO worries...
I wasn't about to turn off the alarm altogether either... not with a beautiful reminder every 9 minutes of the fact that I DIDN'T have to wake up!
:)
I should do this more often!

I ain't Lion
This morning I was tasked to work on a logo for a new residence hall under construction at Baylor University.
This was part of my sketching/design...
... thought I'd share a piece of work... that was worth sharing.

Monday's are for the Birds
Good grief.
It was difficult getting up today... nothing new.
I don't know how the birds do it... the were all up... chirping and hopping around our yard when I dragged my sorry self from the pillow.

Noah's Ark
I remember as a kid seeing a movie about Noah's Ark.
How it was still ice-packed and sitting on top of Mount Ararat somewhere in Tibet.
I wonder why there hasn't been more investigation...
Sure would be cool to see them bring it down somehow so we could see what a 'cubit' really was!

Pattern Mapping
The first thing a baby chick sees when it pecks out from it's egg is 'pattern mapped' as it's mother.
This is quite evident in toads as well.
The mother duck had a tough time shaking the happy little hoppers that were born near her nest.
